High CBD hemp flower has been gaining a lot of popularity lately. People are learning that there are many different ways to consume CBD. If you’ve never smoked CBD flower or bud, you’ll come to learn that it’s very similar to smoking marijuana, but without the high.

High CBD flower strains are typically derived from hemp and not traditional cannabis. CBD flower strains derived from hemp have a high CBD percent (typically 5%-20% CBD) and low amounts of THC (less than 0.3% THC). CBD flower strains are allowed to have up to 0.3% THC legally. This amount of THC will not get you high, but it’s important to note that it can be enough to produce a positive test for THC on a drug test.

Therefore, we do not recommend smoking CBD flower regularly if you have an upcoming drug test.

What does smoking CBD flower feel like?

Each CBD flower strain is unique and has its own effects, but the most common effect is a sense of relaxation. This instant feeling of relaxation can lead to reduced anxiety, stress and chronic pain. One of the best parts about smoking CBD is that the effects are felt almost instantly. This is the reason that many people are choosing to smoke CBD as opposed to using CBD tinctures, which can take up to 40 min to feel the effects.

What do I need to know before purchasing high CBD flower?

CBD flower comes in a variety of strains which each have particular benefits and medicinal properties. CBD flower can also be categorized into 3 categories which are Sativa, Indica and Hybrid. CBD Flower Sativa will typically provide uplifting and energizing properties. CBD Sativa strains are best used in the morning or throughout the day. On the other end of the spectrum, Indica strains have more relaxing and calming properties which can sometimes lead to sleepiness. Therefore, Indica is best used after dinner or before bed. In the middle of the spectrum are Hybrid strains. These are grown with a mix of Sativa and Indica and can be used virtually anytime of the day.

What's the difference between indoor grown flower and outdoor grown flower?

There are two main ways that CBD hemp flower is grown: indoor and outdoor. There are several differences between both of these growing methods but in short, indoor grown CBD flower is more like top shelf. One might say that indoor CBD is Johnnie Walker Whiskey while outdoor grown CBD is whiskey from the well.

Both indoor and outdoor hemp flower varieties will help you get a dose of CBD. The indoor flower will taste better, look sexier, and it's more likely to provide a better experience. As you might imagine, indoor CBD flower will cost a little more compared to outdoor grown flower.
